MARCHing On
Hello! from nohomeless.org. We have officially been incorporated with the Kansas Secretary of State and have submitted our federal application to the IRS. We will be receiving our official letter and EIN number for No Homeless, Inc. within the next two to four weeks.
Why is this important? Well, we're officially recognized as a nonprofit organization in good standing with the government, and we will now be able to fundraise and accept donations to support our mission. This includes launching our online store and providing creative avenues for our supporters to reach the homeless.
We've established our initial Board of Directors. We soon hope to include a page on our site with their short bios (the page).
What are we working on now?
Working with graphic designers to produce a new icon and original T-shirt art for our online store.
Collaborating with videographers and photographers in a few states looking to create some original content for our site, including an introductory and promotional video.
Organizing an online crowdfunding campaign.
What's next?
Directed effort to find a few solid corporate sponsors for our organization.
Homelessness interview campaign to Wichita, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and potentially Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas/Fort Worth.
Publish a multifaceted "People" page on our site that will allow you to read the stories, view individual profiles, invest in specific individuals, and track their progression out of homelessness.
Potential growth strategies (thoughts to ponder):
University campus outreach in large cities. Establish campus organizations targeted toward journalism and photography/videography students interested in philanthropy to practice their trade by volunteering as a member of our campus organization.
Multi-state campaigning. Travel to a variety of cities to meet with organizations and partnering churches in an effort to expand our network and interview potential homeless individuals to participate in our organization.
As always, feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns or suggestions for our site. Thanks for reading!
